Amy and Justin – Park Country Club Wedding Photography, Amherst NY

I can still remember sitting down with Amy and Justin almost a year ago, and them talking about how they value moments. Oh boy, were they not kidding. From start to finish, their wedding day was all about having fun, and honoring those around them that they cherish so dearly.

We began the morning at Justin’s Aunt’s seriously incredible lake house (I want to live there, heck I would settle for retiring there) with Amy’s lively bridal party. Between Backstreet Boys breakdowns, and shooting a champagne top across the room, it is so clear to see how absolutely adored Amy is. Both the family she was born into, and the family she has since created for herself, were beyond a joy to be around.

After an impeccable dress, some tears, and a swipe of burgundy lipstick, we made our way down the stairs for their intimate, lakeside ceremony. Their vows were officiated by Justin’s boss, and they were the perfect combination of sentimental and funny. Their guests came from all over the world — England, Nigeria, and all across the country — to celebrate a tremendous couple.

Amy and Justin had a Buffalo theme to their wedding day, so it only made sense to stop at some of the idyllic Buffalo locations. We made appearances at Gallagher Beach, Sheas (that sign is one of the most recognizable Buffalo spots!), and some of the iconic building murals of the downtown area.

The plan was to swing by Founding Fathers for a beer and some of that famous popcorn, but they were unfortunately closed, which led to a multi block search for a shot to tequila. We eventually found one (shout out to Tudor Lounge for not blinking an eye at an entire wedding party tearing up your dance floor, and to the band for being great sports), before we made our way back to Park Country Club for a fantastic reception.

The stellar dance moves that started during hair and makeup, only got better as the night went on. Between tear-jerking toasts, emotional dances (including a grandfather dance to “Tale as Old as Time”, that they used to dance to when Amy was a child. Yes, we all cried), and a packed dance floor, it was a night jammed full of memories. Kitchenware hats came out (still not sure where that came from), there was a bride lifted in the air, and all in all, a marvelous day to celebrate Amy and Justin getting super married.

A huge thank you to everyone who was involved, it was nothing but an honor to document this day with you. Thanks for the dance moves, tears, and for loving each other so freaking much. Congratulations you two!!
