Rachael and Tony – Rochester Museum and Science Center Wedding Photography, Rochester NY

From the second I walked into the salon and one of the first sentences out of Rachael’s mouth was a Dr. Who reference, I knew it was going to be a spectacular day. Rachael and Tony planned the wedding day that was perfect for them, and laughed their way through the entire day. It was a wonderful celebration of this next step in their lives together.

After a brief stop-over at Mint Salon (which is fabulous by the way, can we just talk about that wallpaper?!), we spent the morning at Rachael’s childhood home. Rachael is an exceptional illustrator, and picked out the most elegant of details that were a beautiful cross between minimalism and vintage. With an appearance of Daleks, and an adorably friendly dog (that is apparently the favorite child), Rachael’s mother and maid of honor helped Rachael with the finishing touches for their wedding day.

There could not have been a more fitting church for Rachael and Tony, nor a more wonderful ceremony. St. Louis Catholic Church in Pittsford is filled to the brim with color, and their ceremony was charmingly funny. From the shared glances, and beaming grins exchanged between Tony and Rachael it was clear to see how in love they are.

We swung by the iconic architecture, and glittering lights of Memorial Art Gallery before making our way over to the Rochester Museum and Science Center for their reception. RMSC is one of my absolute favorite venues to work at, the exhibits are open for everyone to play in. Our photo session involved rock-wall climbing, working our way through a playground (yes, it was definitely made for child-sized people), and made a pit-stop at the mastodon.

Rachael and Tony are HUGE board game fans, and they have played a pivotal role in their relationship (they met at a trivia night!). It could not have made more sense for their centerpieces to be board games. After some hysterical toasts, we played our way through dinner — I heard rumors of a cutthroat game of Candyland.

Now Rachael and Tony both happen to have been raised by wonderful people. Rachael’s dad has a laugh that can fill up a whole room, and Tony’s mom so very clearly adores her son. Their beautiful dances kicked off a wild party, where everyone danced the night away. It was such a spectacular evening.

Rachael and Tony – Congratulations you two! There could not have been a better celebration of you both. Thank you for being so much fun, and so unapologetically yourselves. It was a true joy to document this day for you.
